Washington, DC – The American Energy Alliance (AEA) today unveiled its new online presence at www.AmericanEnergyAlliance.org. AEA not-for-profit organization formed to engage in public policy advocacy and debate, and legislative and executive-branch advocacy, concerning the function, operation and government regulation of global energy markets. It is affiliated with the Institute for Energy Research (IER), another not-for-profit foundation that specializes in energy research and analysis. Its president, Thomas Pyle, issued the following statement: “The American Energy Alliance was formed to educate, empower, and encourage American citizens to engage in the national debate on our energy future. With the goal of establishing chapters in each of the fifty states, it’s my hope that AEA – in partnership with the Institute for Energy Research – will do just that. With a cutting-edge website and energy matters at the forefront of the American families concerns, the AEA will serve as a clearinghouse for fact-based information and for calls to action on the most pressing challenges in the public policy arena.” More About AEA: AEA maintains that freely-functioning energy markets provide the most efficient and effective solutions to today’s global energy and environmental challenges and, as such, are critical to the well-being of individuals and society. It further maintains that government policies should be predictable, simple and technology neutral. AEA’s legislative and public policy advocacy will take place at both the state and national level. It is the aim of AEA to educate and mobilize citizens in understanding, promoting and helping to solve America’s most pressing energy and environmental policy problems. Through a deeper understanding of these issues, our nation’s citizens will be able to better participate in the policy-making process at the state and national level. AEA has no ties to any political party, and it has no interest in supporting the agenda of any particular political party or political candidate. AEA is an issue organization that supports a free-market philosophy in the area of energy policy. It is not a political organization. AEA is affiliated with the Institute for Energy Research (IER) , a not-for-profit organization – founded in 1989 – that conducts intensive research and analysis on the functions, operations, and government regulation of global energy markets. Both AEA and IER maintain that freely-functioning energy markets provide the most efficient and effective solutions to today's global energy and environmental challenges and, as such, are critical to the well-being of individuals and society. |
