The American Energy Alliance supports H.J. Res. 140, providing for congressional disapproval of the BLM public land order prohibiting mining in the Superior National Forest. The subject region contains one of the world\'s largest untapped copper and nickel deposits, two minerals that are crucial inputs to vast numbers of modern products. These are also minerals for which the U.S. relies heavily on imports. The Biden administration\'s action to lock out development from this important mining opportunity undermined national security and economic development in order to pander to extreme environmentalists. Congress should support the reversal of this destructive and unnecessary administrative action.
