AEA Joins With 17 Free Market Groups In Urging President Trump to Extend And Expand Jones Act Waiver

On Thursday October 22, 2026, the American Energy Alliance joined with 17 free market organizations in sending a letter to President Donald Trump encouraging him to issue a new waiver of the Jones Act. Extending the waiver would further protect American families from The Jones Act, an outdated shipping law that chokes supply chains and drives up prices. Extending and expanding the current waiver past November 15 will unlock more vessels, relieve bottlenecks, and deliver immediate price relief on oil, natural gas, and fertilizer for American families.
